Tackling housing inequality with LaHaus

July 2024

La Haus partnered with Collinear to tackle LATAM’s extreme housing inequality with $1B in gross housing sales

In 2020, Jerónimo and Tomás Uribe wanted to transform real estate transactions in LATAM through a digital-first approach. They built La Haus, a platform that curates housing supply, matches it with demand and facilitates the transaction. With a funding round backed by Jeff Bezos, La Haus now makes the home-buying experience as seamless as “looking for their next flight at delta.com.”

Building on its digital-first approach, La Haus was looking to augment its sales cycle with Generative AI. In particular, they were building a digital sales agent that co-pilots the home buying process with a human sales associate. However, the solution hit a roadblock as their current models ran into hallucination issues. To complicate matters, addressing hallucination brought on latency challenges, creating a poor customer experience.

Solution

Collinear partnered with La Haus to build custom judges that enabled the creation of digital sales agents. Specifically, we partnered on 2 problems.

1. Improving the AI agent’s metrics on sales
Collinear custom Sales Agent Judge integrated with LH’s AI agent and evaluates the agent’s response for quality and gives actionable feedback on sales tactics to be employed

2. Reducing hallucination and improving latency
Collinear Veritas Judge replaced prompted GPT4o judge for hallucination detection in Spanish

  • Collinear custom Sales Agent Judge improved internal metric of unique visitor to first scheduled visit by 15%
  • Collinear Veritas judge is 14x faster and 25% more accurate than GPT4o on La Haus RAG hallucination detection

"Collinear AI’s expertise enabled us to measure our AI Sales Agent’s ability to sell by developing a model based on our conversational data between human agents and customers in just a few weeks. From ideation to execution, they always felt like a part of our team!”
